Lauren R. Giannini (aka "Lauren Gallops") is a photographer and award-winning writer. Her love for photography dates back to early childhood and an antique (even then!) Brownie camera that she learned to use by trial and error. After earning a BA in French, she moved to Horse Country Virginia where she indulged in her passion for horses and started writing freelance for local publications.

Lauren's interests run the gamut: horses, conservation, wildlife, conservation tourism, art, sports, rural and urban landscapes. She has a passion for taking photos in equestrian settings - steeplechase and flat racing, fox hunting, 3-day eventing, dressage, hunters and jumpers, polo - wherever horses display their incredible beauty and athleticism.

Lauren's stories and photos appear in several publications, both print and on-line, including: In & Around Horse Country, Middleburg Eccentric, Virginia Sportsman, PhelpsSports.com, Covertside, FoxHuntingLife.com, Sidelines Equestrian, Virginia Horse Journal (sadly defunct), and Travel News Kenya.

A lifelong love of travel has taken Lauren to Kenya twice so far, with more visits being planned in the very near future. She is enthusiastically involved with conservation, wildlife, and tourism in Kenya, especially the Mbulia Conservancy/Kipalo Hills Camp and Amara Conservation. She's helping to raise funds for Mbulia Conservancy and invites you to purchase wildlife art for your walls at home and office: all profits from the sale of the wonderful photos donated by Chris Brennan will directly benefit Mbulia Conservancy. If you don't want to purchase art, please visit Amara Conservation and donate whatever you can for Mbulia.

As for the sale of Lauren's photos: depending on the gallery, she has dedicated herself to splitting profits from several galleries, 50-50 to the "subject" of the photos and to her income in order to make ends meet. Each time you order photos, you will receive a letter of confirmation of the donation made in your name. Of course, Lauren's wildlife photos from Kenya will benefit Mbulia Conservancy located on the southwest border of Tsavo West National Park, Kenya: 50% of Lauren's profit will be directed through Amara Conservation and each "donor" will receive a letter of confirmation about their contribution to Mbulia Conservancy.
